"What is the Catalyst for the Hunt?" Documentary Film by: S. Browne
Scott Browne grew up in a small CT town with 2 brothers and a sister, the children of a police officer and a waitress. His grandfather owned the funeral home in town and later on the town newspaper. In 1972 the family moved to another small rural town in Massachusetts, where Scott resides today.
He has been a professional graphic designer and photographer for over 30 yrs creating artwork for such clients as Disney and the rock band Foreigner.
Scott also spent over 25 yrs. researching and doing work in the field concerning the UFO phenomena which led him to create the Facebook group "In The Field." This page is for diligent researchers and videographers from all over the world. They are unique in the fact that a steady flow of dis/misinformation is not present in the group and majority of them shoot, study and share our own footage or photographs of these anomalies.
Scott says that he has always felt that something triggered his overwhelming obsession with the phenomena which started back in 1987 after a strange incident that left him with a million questions and no answers.
This documentary below explains some of the confusing events that have surrounded Scott Browne from a young age and the possible trigger for this interest.

Pope Francis preparing statement about extraterrestrial life
July 23, 2014
Pope Francis is reportedly preparing a major world statement about extraterrestrial life and its theological implications. Rosana Ubanell from Voxxi News today reported
that due to advances in scientific detection methods for the discovery
of extraterrestrial life, Pope Francis wants to be ready with a
statement about “First Contact”. Ubanell reports that details have yet
to be officially announced but that the Vatican’s interest in extraterrestrial life is well documented through recent astrobiology
conferences the Vatican Observatory has sponsored or participated in.
Father Guy Consolmagno, a Jesuit astronomer and one of the leading
Catholic proponents for preparing for the scientific discovery of
extraterrestrial life, on July 18, won the Carl Sagan science medal from
the American Astronomical Society. Pope Francis, a fellow Jesuit,
regularly consults with Consolmagno and other leading Vatican
astronomers about scientific issues. It is likely that Pope Francis is
preparing an “Urbi et Orbi” speech – Latin for “to the city [of Rome]
and the world” – about First Contact with extraterrestrial life.
The Vatican’s scientific interest in extraterrestrial life was publicly revealed for the first time in May 2008 when the head of the Vatican Observatory, Fr Gabriel Funes, also a Jesuit, gave an interview to the Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano. Funes made a series of startling statements about how extraterrestrial life is likely to be more ethically evolved than humans, and can be welcomed as brothers. In his interview, which was titled "The extraterrestrial is my brother," Funes said that intelligent extraterrestrial life may not have experienced a ‘fall’, and may be “free from Original Sin … [remaining] in full friendship with their creator.” This makes it possible to regard them as ‘our brothers’ as Funes explained:
Just over a year after his interview, Funes was the organizer of the first ever Astrobiology Symposium held by Pontifical Academy of Sciences in November 2009. Consolmagno and Funes have ever since played leading roles for the Vatican Observatory in presenting a theological perspective on the discovery of extraterrestrial life. Most importantly, both have been leading advisors to Pope Francis about scientific issues concerning the discovery of extraterrestrial life.
What is likely to be the content of Pope Francis' upcoming statement or possible “Urbi et Orbi” speech about alien life? An important clue is a forthcoming presentation by Fr. Consolmagno at a September 18-19, 2014, astrobiology symposium organized by NASA and the Library of Congress that is titled: “Preparing for Discovery: A Rational Approach to the Implications of Finding Microbial, Complex or Intelligent Life Beyond Earth.”
Consolmagno is a featured presenter and will discuss the theological implications of discovering alien life. His topic, “Would You Baptize an Extraterrestrial?” suggests that Pope Francis agrees that extraterrestrials are capable of the higher ethics involved in understanding the Christian message and becoming Christians.
If Pope Francis is indeed preparing a statement about extraterrestrial life, it is likely to emphasize that there is no incompatibility in Christian teachings with a belief in extraterrestrial life as Fr. Funes proposed in May 2008. More importantly, Pope Francis is likely to emphasize themes of extraterrestrials: not sharing in original sin; being more ethically evolved; and being capable of sharing the Christian message, and being our brothers.
Not all will welcome a statement from Pope Francis advocating extraterrestrials as brothers and worthy of being baptized into the Christian faith. According to Chris Putnam and Tom Horn, authors of Exovaticana, Pope Francis I is preparing to lead the Catholic Church to embrace aliens as “brothers in Christ” – reflective of the 1950s and 1960s contactee reports of benevolent “space brothers.” Putnam’s and Horn’s Exovaticana portends a future religious war between those accepting extraterrestrials as “brothers in Christ” and those believing them to be returning demons about to enslave us. Despite the extensive scholarship found in Exovaticana, it unfortunately skews data towards an overly negative assessment of the motivations of extraterrestrial visitors. Thankfully, the Vatican’s evolving public position, as reflected by statements from its leading astronomers, shows a far more enlightened stance on how to consider the discovery of alien life from a theological perspective. A statement or “Urbi et Orbi” speech from Pope Francis expounding on various themes associated with the view that extraterrestrials are potential “brothers in Christ’ is a welcome position to take on a controversial issue with major world significance.

Just as there is a multiplicity of creatures on earth, there can be other beings, even intelligent, created by God. This is not in contrast with our faith because we can't put limits on God's creative freedom… "Why can't we speak of a 'brother extraterrestrial'? It would still be part of creation…Most importantly, Funes’ statement makes possible the idea that Christianity can be exported to extraterrestrial worlds that have not experienced a ‘fall’ and are free from original sin.

ScienceCasts: Big Mystery in the Perseus Cluster
This Mysterious Signal 'Could Not Be Explained By Known Physics,' Astronomers Say
Macrina Cooper-Whithttp://youtu.be/3439YtdQZ1Y
When astronomers detected a strange signal in a massive galaxy cluster millions of light years from Earth, they knew they had stumbled upon something big.
"I couldn't believe my eyes," Esra Bulbul, of the Harvard Center for Astrophysics, said in a written statement. "What we found, at first glance, could not be explained by known physics."
Just check out the video above, released this week by Science@NASA, to learn more.
In 2012, Bulbul and her colleagues examined data collected by NASA's Chandra X-Ray Observatory on the Perseus Cluster,an array of thousands of galaxies in the constellation Perseus. The Perseus Cluster is surrounded by a cloud of superheated gas, which contains ions that each emit their own "line" in the x-ray spectrum.
When the astronomers analyzed the cluster's "spectral signature," they found a mysterious spike that they couldn't explain.
"Aline appeared at 3.56 keV (kilo-electron volts) which does not correspond to any known atomic transition," Bulbul said in the statement. "I have re-analyzed the data; split the data set into different sub groups; and checked the data from four other detectors on board two different observatories. None of these efforts made the line
disappear."
The astronomers believe the emission may result from
the decay of so-called sterile neutrinos, hypothetical particles that may make up dark matter, a mysterious substance that constitutes 80 percent of the mass of universe.
“We know that the dark matter explanation
is a long shot, but the pay-off would be huge if we're right,” Bulbul said in an earlier statement released by NASA last month. “So we're going to keep testing this interpretation and see where it takes us.”
No One Knows What's Causing These Mysterious Radio Bursts From Space
Ashley Feinberg
Profi
Back
in 2007, astronomers detected an incredibly brief, incredibly strong
radio wave burst in Australia. And now, on the opposite side of the
world, astronomers have detected a second blast of similar proportions. Meaning that A) the first one wasn't a fluke, and B) we have absolutely no idea what's causing them.
This
second ultrafast flash of radio waves was discovered by the Arecibo
radio telescope in Puerto Rico, which had been putting out its feelers
in hopes of discovering neutron stars. Instead, it got the second
instance of so-called fast radio bursts (FRBs), which finally allowed
astronomers to rule out cosmic noise and formally report them. Because
unlike the radio signals we usually detect, these radio waves "show every sign of having come from far outside our galaxy."
According to Laura Spitler,
a post-doctoral researcher for the Max Planck Institute for Radio
Astronomy in Germany, the discovery is a major step forward:
We really have no handle on what they are. Scientists are highly skeptical of such discoveries … [that] all of the bursts up until now had been discovered by the Parkes telescope was a cause of concern. Now, with the discovery of a burst from Arecibo, we are more confident that FRBs are astrophysical phenomena, and discovering and classifying them should be a priority of radio astronomical observatories in the future.
Until
we're able to uncover more of these FRBs and properly study them,
though, scientists are at a loss for what could be causing them. Some
proposed explanations have included evaporating black holes, mergers of neutron stars, and flares from extremely powerful neutron stars called magnetars. And as Duncan Lorimer, one of the astronomers who uncovered the first set of FRBs told NPR:
There's even been discussions in the literature about signatures from extraterrestrial civilizations.
It may be quite a while before we get any definitive answers, though. The two radio telescopes that detected the waves suffer from tunnel vision,
which means that since our view is so limited, any FRBs we find in the
future will largely be thanks to luck. But as Cornell astronomer James
Cordes also said to NPR, "The nice things about this in the current
stage is that we really don't know what these bursts are caused by. And
so the sky's the limit in some respects."
Or to put that in layman's terms:

Dorothy Izatt
Extraterrestrial or Extradimensional?
The case of Dorothy Izatt presents us with important evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial life. Since 1974, Dorothy has been filming luminous objects in the night sky of Vancouver with an 8 mm film camera, best known as Super-8. Dorothy has over 9000 meters of films of these objects floating in the sky and creating explosions of light.
Many Hollywood experts have examined her films and have declared that reproducing these images digitally would require a team of professionals working full-time, and a lot of money. In 2003, when Dorothy Izatt was 81 years old, Frank Longo made a documentary about her experiences called “Capturing the Light”. This documentary was awarded the EBE to the documentary with the best UFO images in 2008.
After a series of tests to verify the authenticity of this phenomenon, Dr. Allen Hynek (1910-1986), a renowned astronomer and UFO researcher, decided to endorse Dorothy Izatt’s films. We must consider that Dr. Hynek, together with Dr. Jacques Vallée, proposed that UFOs could be beings from another dimension, which would explain how they can defy the laws of physics. As to the strange light forms in Dorothy’s films, Hynek suggested they could be passages to the world where these beings lived and that they would open every now and then as a result of the dimensional portals that these beings would use to get to our world.
I will leave you with a statement made by Dr. Allen Hynek in 1977, during the first International UFO Congress in Chicago:
“I believe the UFO phenomenon is real, although I don’t think it’s one single thing. We have to ask ourselves whether the variety of UFOs sighted come from a single source… there is enough evidence to defend the existence of alien intelligence, as well as inter-dimensional intelligence. To me, it seems possible that there is a civilization covering physical, material and mental aspects. There are millions of stars that are millions of years older than the Sun. There could be a civilization millions of years more advanced than ours. We passed from the Kitty Hawk missiles to the Moon in almost 70 years. It is possible that a civilization that is one million years old knows something we don’t. The realms of the mind, so mysterious for us now, could be a common part of an advanced technology”.

Stella Lansing
17 Feb 1967, about 9:45 PM, Palmer,
Massachusetts: Mrs. Stella V. Lansing, a housewife, part-time nurse, and mother
of five children, the oldest then in Vietnam, was parked with her car on Old
Warren Road, just off Route 32, in the double-row, high-voltage power-line area.
This was about a kilometer east of Palmer Center, away from street lights and
houses, alongside Burleigh park, and no more than a kilometer from her home at
Thompson Lake. Earlier this evening she had seen a yellow-orange globe of
light near the old cemetery and now hoped to see it again. She had been
puzzled frequently by strange lights in the Palmer area and this time brought a
borrowed movie camera. She was ready.
Fig. 1. Sighting Area
|
Waiting patiently under a black,
starlit sky with the moon nearly half full, she saw three distinct globes of
yellow-to-reddish-orange light coming from the southeast, along the power line.
Except for an occasional cricket-like sound they were silent, as low as the
power line poles and no more than 20 m from them. Mrs. Lansing
recalls: "They generally glided, sometimes bouncing in a dipping manner, as
though riding the crest and ripples of a water wave." She started filming
the approaching objects and was amazed when they suddenly retreated: "They
bounced back like a rubber ball on a rubber string." She then realized
why, as a car came along, heading northeast toward West Warren. It stopped
and the driver got out, thinking Mrs. Lansing had car trouble.
The three globes were now hovering far back to the east, at about a 20-deg
elevation, one behind the treetops.
Mrs. Lansing recognized the young
lady, Ms. K., as an occasional visitor to Palmer and asked her to look at the
orange balls of light. Ms. K. was completely unfamiliar with the term
"UFO". In frustration, Lansing explained it to her, whereupon Ms. K.
became frightened and left. The strange objects now advanced as before,
gliding along the power lines.
Although no structural details were
apparent, Lansing felt someone must be guiding the globes. Concentrating
on one of them, she began waving "Hello". She did not forget to use the
movie camera and alternated between observing and filming throughout the entire
incident.
One of the objects, and then the
other two, became bluish-white and headed south-southeast, appearing to leave
the area. Lansing had photographed one of them at 16 frames per second
(fps) as it appeared to hover briefly about 20 m away from her. Now
she was about to leave and turned to film the moon, which was south.
Suddenly, from her left came a brilliant burst of white light, shooting up into
the air in a zigzag motion at a 45 deg angle, engulfed in swirls of white,
red, blue-to-bluish-green and yellow light. It had appeared to originate
from atop the knoll of a small hill, behind the second set of telephone poles in
the east-southeast, and was headed westward.
Lansing quickly proceeded to film
the object, first clicking the single-frame lever and then using 16 fps.
As she stopped to observe again, the object seemed to glide and suddenly changed
or extinguished all visible lighting, except for intermittent flashing of a
silvery-white, star-like light. This continued as the object moved lazily
but steadily along a westward heading, until it finally went out of range behind
trees and ground clutter.
Lansing had borrowed the camera from
her employer and this was her first experience with it. The Keystone
regular 8 mm "Capri" had a fixed lens, no telephoto, and did not have a
through-the-lens viewfinder. It was set at its largest opening of f/2.8
during the sighting and no filters were used. The Kodachrome II Daylight
spool was processed locally.
The resulting movie was first viewed
on an old projector, which unfortunately tended to burn the individual frames
when the stop-motion lever was held too long on "still". Lansing
evidently captured the zigzag motion by using the single-frame lever, but that's
all her photo shows -- a zigzag -- with no unambiguous structural detail.
The 16 fps sequence, about 4½ sec
long, has very low contrast, appearing as a yellow rectangle in the
upper-left-hand corner of the projected movie. In her studies of the film,
Lansing had switched to a battery-operated, hand-held viewer, to avoid burning
any more frames, and only moving, ghostlike images were apparent. Months
later, a modern projector was purchased. She recalls: "I had a shock of
disbelief as I was finally able to see four beings, two of which were turning
their heads and moving their lips as though conversing, and which then appeared
to be looking down at me."
Fig. 2 shows one frame
from this 4½ sec sequence. Fig. 3, sketched by artist Frederick E. Fahdt,
assists the reader in locating the three occupants in Fig. 2. The fourth
figure, not visible here, is standing to left in the movie scene. None appears to be the
grey alien type usually reported in close encounters nor, with dark hair, are
these the occasional blond "Nordic" types. Most striking is this veridical
human character of the images, even more evident from their animated movements
during projection. Who are these people? Could they be
archeologists
from Earth's distant future? With their casual and non-uniform garb, they
look more like university researchers than a military crew.

Lansing recalls: "I never saw them when filming...I can't tell you what...they came out of or what they were
in...They must have come from the soft, white object which seemed to go away to
the southeast -- the object that was hovering while I was filming, i.e., during
the sequence preceding the zigzag burst of light."
Four or five tiny orange lights are
visible above the window area during projection, regularly spaced on an arc of
larger radius. These suggest the window area on this UFO was below a
curved outer rim. Note the lateral compression of the standing figure on
the extreme right, like a Cinemascope® image viewed on a standard-definition,
4:3 television screen. This effect could be expected from the curvature of a thick,
cylindrical window.
A final, puzzling detail in the film
is a thin, vertical line, moving slowly but uniformly from left to right.
It crosses the field of view several times at regular intervals during the brief
16 fps sequence. It is a definite part of the image and cannot be validly
attributed to a scratch or artifact from processing or prior projection.
Lansing's movie was shown
informally at the end of the APRO 1971 "Eastern UFO Symposium", where one of the
featured speakers was psychiatrist / UFO researcher Berthold E. Schwarz, M.D.
He subsequently visited Mrs. Lansing twice in Palmer on five days of February
and April 1971, and studied her further at his New Jersey office during five
days of May 1971. These investigations were usually attended by members of her
family or close friends. Schwarz even enlisted the help of famed telepathist Joseph
Dunninger, as a positive check on her veracity. Schwarz's on-site field
trips to Palmer, numerous telephone calls and correspondence, interviews of her
associates, and his psychiatric evaluation and continuing interest in this case, are
documented for UFO researchers by seven articles in Flying Saucer Review
(see
Stewart's index). Dr. Schwarz's conclusions and comments in brief:
-
Stella Lansing told the truth as she saw it, and was quite modest about it: "These things happen and I don't know why"
-
Lansing had a history of paranormal experiences -- telepathic, precognitive, telekinetic, teleosomatic -- all within the range reported for psi-sensitive people
-
Subjects can be driven into psychosis by our failure to believe them; Lansing was affected by her strange experiences and required hospitalization. Schwarz clearly emphasizes that these experiences were cause, not result, of her psychosis, which subsequent treatment completely cured
-
Attempts to hypnotically regress Lansing were too traumatic and had to be abandoned
-
Lansing had taken many films and photographs of UFO-like and bizarre, non-UFO-like objects such as described by Ivan T. Sanderson
-
Careful, frame-by-frame analysis is necessary to see some of her photographed objects, which otherwise are overlooked
-
Facts of the case do not support a thoughtography (paranormal exposure) explanation: (1) Ted Serios claimed to produce single-exposures, while Lansing's 4½ sec sequence has many frames of complex movement, (2) Lansing and Schwarz simultaneously filmed anomalous objects on-site in Palmer with separate movie cameras and got consistent results
-
Question: how did Stella Lansing's psychopathology / psychophysiology make her a candidate for UFO interaction?

Dan Sherman (Project Preserve Destiny)
Dan Sherman was an United States Air Force security policeman, who is
slowly recruited into Level One "grey" operations with the National
Security Agency. Sherman's recruitment began with the shocking
revelation (not by "channeled" information, but from an officer of the
NSA), that he was genetically tampered with while still in his mother's
womb in order to bring about an "intuitive communicator" , who can
communicate with aliens via code.
The NSA had been secretly trying to
engineer what they deemed as the next human step in communication with
aliens into unknowing subjects in the 1960s (of which Dan is but one).
The NSA basically let alone these subjects until the age of 25, at which
time, by a process of seeming synchronicities, they were brought closer
within the fold of secret intelligence. Every move they make proceeds
down well-oiled lines of behavioral science and very tight, practical,
"need-to-know" scripting. What unravels is that Dan Sherman's life had
been engineered, at a distance, by the military, watching him at every
step along the way all his life, in order to eventually recruit him into
their secret ops.
Dan Sherman spent almost three years as an intuitive communicator while serving in the United States Air Force. Tonight, he will tell us about his training, things he learned from his alien contacts and the events that led him to seek a discharge from the air force. By coming forward, Dan hopes his story will encourage other insiders to do likewise. Dan served over 12 years in the United States Air Force and has been recognized for heroism and has been decorated with the Air Force Commendation Medal and the Air Force achievement medal with two oak leaf clusters. He has also received the Air Force outstanding unit award with three oak leaf clusters as well as being honored for service in the Persian Gulf. Dan is married and has two children.
I for one, loved this story. In the beginning of Stan's experiences a friend shared this book with me. I had only Stan's experienced as reference to that point and reading the book, was validating on many levels. how many of you who are abductees or contactees recall the beings referring to you as water vessels? That's one of the things Stan had recalled, and when I read that exact phrase in Above Black, I was floored! If you haven't yet read this book, you really need to, it is so eye opening!!!!

Although I had no chance of coming away from my experience with hard evidence, the circumstantial evidence is overwhelming and after you read the book, you will find yourself questioning why your government is hiding Preserve Destiny from the public. (The "Shadow" government, that is.)
Best Wishes, Dan Sherman

Robert Dean Speaks Out
Robert O. Dean / Randy Koppang, Perceptions Magazine, May/June 1996
Summary: Command
Sergeant Major (ret.) Robert O. Dean claims he saw a "Cosmic Top
Secret" briefing document on UFOs when he worked on the General Staff at
SHAPE (Strategic Headquarters, Allied Powers Europe) in the mid-1960s.
"We're At Crucial Moment in History," Says Former NATO Staffer [Command Sergeant Major (ret.) Robert O. Dean claims he saw a "Cosmic Top Secret" briefing document on UFOs when he worked on the General Staff at SHAPE (Strategic Headquarters, Allied Powers Europe) in the mid-1960s. No copy of the alleged "Assessment" has ever been seen in public, but Dean travels the world insisting that he knows what he saw is true. More than that, he says, the UFO secrets are just "the tip of the iceberg," symbolic of a whole new level of knowledge that will completely transform -- or possibly destroy -- our world. The following text is part of an article in the May/June, 1996 issue of Perceptions Magazine, in which Randy Koppang interviews Robert O. Dean.]
Randy Koppang: Having a "Cosmic Top Secret "clearance in NATO, how do you feel we can reconcile the intelligence community's exclusive "need to know" with the public's right to share in that transcendental knowledge?
Robert Dean: You've got another thing to consider here. You talk about the intelligence community. It isn't a solid bloc. The "intel" agencies feed on each other continually. The big fuss is turf and money. They are always vying for more power and more money. There has been a difference of opinion within the intel communities for at least the last 25 years on this subject. Should we let it out? Should the American people be told the truth, yes or no? This has gone back and forth heatedly within the communities themselves. CIA fusses with NSA [National Security Agency], NSA fusses with DIA [Defense Intelligence Agency]; it's turf, it's money and it's power.
At the moment, the decision has still been, to my knowledge, "No, we can't let them know." There are indications that maybe, at some level, a policy decision has been to slowly, gently, in a non-threatening way let some of this reality out -- these leaked documents, the fact that some big mouth like me is violating his oath and getting away with it. I've thrown the gauntlet down and demanded they come and sue me, take my pension away, put me in Fort Leavenworth, and they haven't. I said, "Look guys, if you do, I can subpoena witnesses, I can subpoena documents that I happen to know exist. We'll have a helluva nice case. We'll make a real donnybrook out of this.
Well, I'm still getting away with what I'm doing. How effective I am, I don't know. There does seem to be a gentle trickle of classified info, either being leaked or allowed to be talked about, indicating to me that somebody wants it done.
Koppang: For many reasons, technological and perceptual, a "global mind change" is occurring. One of the major reasons for this is a perceived crisis of constitutionality (hiding covert programs lacking congressional oversight). Some of these programs have involved researching and/or refusing to publicly share evidence of a possible ET presence. Was the "Assessment" the ultimate E.T. research project?
Dean: I would not like to think the "Assessment," a three-year study, reflected the very finest piece of work that could be done of that subject. I hope that in our own government, at certain levels, much more thorough research programs have been conducted. I learned, after leaving SHAPE/NATO in 1967, that the conclusions of the "Assessment" had been known essentially as early as 1948 or 1949 by our government, at least by the Air Force, after the crash at Roswell [New Mexico]. And Roswell was the TIP OF AN ICEBERG. I know of at least a dozen crash retrievals involving bodies and survivors besides Roswell.
Our government knew in 1949 essentially the same thing that SHAPE published in 1964, but they kept it at the highest-level classification, didn't share it with anybody, didn't share it with our NATO allies. That's why the Air Marshall and General Lymon Lemnitzer had to conduct the "Assessment" in house, from 1961 to 1964. They could get nothing from London and Washington on the subject. We knew some of these things that early!
I hope a thorough evaluation of [the E.T. presence] has been done and will be shared with the American people by their government. I've talked to people on the inside who say amazing studies have been conducted not only in laboratories, not only in research, not only in hard science, but amazing things have been learned psychologically about the human condition, the human potential... The UFO matter is simply the tiny, tiny tip of an iceberg which is so enormous that when the truth comes out, its going to change the whole world.
A lot of government scientists and a number of government and military planners know these things. That's why many of them say, "Hell, no, we're never going to let that out. The 'people' will never be prepared for that."
Roughly 12 years ago -- and I've heard from a number of independent sources -- they did indeed pulled off a sustained, controlled fusion reaction at Los Alamos, using lasers. In itself, this little piece of scientific knowledge can blow the world up in terms of global economics. Fusion means endless cheap power. Think what it could do to the oil companies, auto industry, steel industry and world economy!
Now, I'm making a point here: I understand why that kind of knowledge must be released carefully, shared carefully, or the whole damn house of cards is going to fall around us. We could have massive world economic collapse, starvation, riots, blood in the streets, etc.
So I understand something that sensitive won't be released tomorrow. It's going to be released gently and carefully through the process of technology, probably over the next 30 to 50 years.
Koppang: How about the implication of E.T. craft maneuverability, what some refer to as "free energy," a self-contained gravitational field propulsion system, powered by some unlimited energy source?
Robert Dean: There's a lot more to it. First of all, there was a crash at Kingman, Arizona in about 1972, where we retrieved some bodies and hardware. The hardware was in pretty good shape. Do you know what the biggest damn secret of all was? They could not find a propulsion system in that ship! They could not find a motor. What made it fly; what caused it to crash; how was it propelled; how was it controlled? To my knowledge, they never did find out.
Koppang: At the end of World War II, America entered an ahistorical era in which our previous historical landmarks, war for instance, no longer dictated the national will. Without a national will of distinct purpose, the government runs free towards imperialistic profiteering. As a result, authority loses its grounding, leaving the national will in a stagnant limbo. The Apollo moon program and exploration of space should have filled this need, but they are going nowhere. The budgetary crisis is grounding them. Comments?
Robert Dean: That's why we are reaching this crucial moment in "history," I suspect. This may be a given in the universe, on hundreds of thousands of worlds, where intelligent species reach this crucial moment, as we have reached it.
We've got thermonuclear weapons, biological weapons, particle-beam weapons, psychotronic weapons. We can't continue to live the way we have any longer. Now, if we don't make this adjustment, this coming to terms with who we are, why we're here, how we came to be here and where we're supposedly going, then we're going down into the abyss. It'll be the end of this species. It'll be one little footnote in the great galactic book: "Well, those people on the third planet in the little system didn't make it. They self-destructed." I think that's probably happened thousands and thousands of times.
I believe we're at that point where we either have to make it and get off the planet, go out and take our place in space with other intelligence out there, or we're going to self-destruct. And those intelligences out there are not about to let us come "out there" with our war-making baggage. They're going to keep us quarantined here until we self-destruct, or until we do come to terms with this new reality, this paradigm shift, as painful as it's going to be. And with hope, we'll step out into that vast community.
To me it's clear as it can be, but I don't know how to get this info out to the masses of people. A few others in this effort and I are trying as best we can, in our limited way, to do it. But we're at a crucial moment in our history as a species and as a race.

Nick Pope
Author, journalist and TV personality Nick Pope worked for
the British government for 21 years, at the Ministry of Defence. In the
course of his career, he served in a number of different posts, but is best
known for work that he did between 1991 and 1994, when he was posted to a
division where his duties included investigating reports of Unidentified Flying
Objects. The purpose of these investigations was to see whether anything
reported might pose any threat to the defense of the United Kingdom, or suggest
the existence of anything that might be of more general defense interest.
Most sightings turned out to be misidentifications of ordinary objects or
phenomena, but a small percentage remained unexplained. Contrary to
popular belief, there was no definitive evidence that any of these sightings
were extraterrestrial in origin. However, the Ministry of Defense
remained open-minded about the possibilities and took no position on the
existence of extraterrestrial life.
Nick Pope was initially skeptical
about UFOs, but his official research and investigation convinced him that
whatever the nature of the sightings that remained unexplained, the UFO phenomenon
raised important defense, national security and air safety issues.
He was particularly interested in cases where the witnesses
were pilots, or where UFOs were tracked on radar.
More recently, Nick Pope has been
involved in the program to declassify and release the MoD’s UFO files and send
them to the National Archives. This involved selecting some cases that
would be of interest to the media, making a film to promote the release and
giving newspaper, TV and radio interviews to publicize the story.
Nick Pope left the Ministry of
Defense in 2006. He now works as a freelance journalist and media
commentator, writing and broadcasting on a wide range of subjects, including
UFOs, the unexplained, conspiracy theories, fringe science, defense, intelligence,
space and science fiction.
Nick Pope works with a wide range of
film companies, TV networks and production companies, helping develop ideas for
new films, TV shows and documentaries. He contributes regularly to
various news programs, chat shows and documentaries.
Nick Pope works with various PR,
marketing and advertising agencies, promoting sci-fi films and advertising
campaigns themed around the unexplained. He has worked for clients that
include Microsoft, 20th Century Fox and Sony Pictures and has been involved in
promoting The X-Files: I Want To Believe and the remake of The Day The Earth
Stood Still.
Nick Pope lectures all around the
world and this has included addressing the Oxford Union and the Cambridge Union
Society, as well as speaking at the Science Museum, the Royal Albert Hall and
Global Competitiveness Forum 2011.
Nick Pope has written four books,
all of which have been published by Simon & Schuster.
His
non-fiction books are Open Skies Closed Minds, about UFOs, and The Uninvited,
about the alien abduction mystery. Both books made the Top Ten in the
Sunday Times list of hardback non-fiction books, with Open Skies Closed Minds
reaching number three and staying in the Top Ten for ten weeks. These
books have been translated into various foreign languages. Nick Pope has
also written two science fiction novels about an alien invasion, Operation
Thunder Child and Operation Lightning Strike. There have been discussions
about producing a film or a TV miniseries based on these books.
Nick Pope lives
in California
